I arrived in Flint on October 31st and was greeted by my loving Father to share connection, memories and thoughts on where we are and where we are heading in the future. Jimmer met up with us the next day, Thursday. We wanted to access the amount of cleanup involved at 6105, and so right away we made our way over to the Old Homestead. We decided we would need a 10 yard dumpster and a HUGE 'One Man's Trash, Another Man's Treasure" sale over the next two weeks. November 2nd, 2007 was the start of the epic cleaning, sorting and dumping of trash or treasure of our old Homestead. Ironically, it would have been the 76th birthdate of our loving and much missed mother, Phyllis Elaine. So maybe subconciously, it was a tribute to her and a time, after 2 years, to confront the lost legacy of our life there.
